Beide Projekte betrachten Hochschul- und Forschungseinrichtungen aus einer relationalen Perspektive. Während Q-KNOW bilaterale Kooperationen fokussiert, analysiert T-PATHS Pfade von Beziehungen.

2 PhD Candidates in Higher Education Research & Science Studies

We are seeking to recruit 2 PhD Candidates in Higher Education Research & Science Studies. The successful candidates will be members of the Department of Social Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences and the Doctoral School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Luxembourg. You will join the research team “Science Metrics and Global Research Collaborations” (SciMetrics), working with Dr. Jennifer Dusdal and Prof. Justin Powell, to pursue the PhD degree. You will conduct project-based research at the nexus of sociology of education, higher education research, science studies, bibliometrics, and social network analysis. A collaboration within the international Q-KNOW Project "Relational Quality: Quality Development through Collaborative Networks and Collaboration Portfolios" is intended.

Einladung zum Q-KNOW Netzwerksymposium am 6. Dezember 2021

Im deutschen Wissenschafts- und Forschungssystem stehen Organisationen verschiedener Formen im intensiven Austausch: Universitäten kooperieren mit außeruniversitären Forschungs-instituten in der Grundlagenforschung, Universitätskliniken arbeiten mit Krankenhäusern bei der Medikamentenentwicklung zusammen und Technische Universitäten entwickeln mit Unternehmen Produkte. Aus einer Netzwerkperspektive lassen sich diese Kooperationen sowohl auf Ebene des deutschen Gesamtnetzwerks als auch aus Sicht einzelner Organisationen betrachten. Am 6. Dezember möchten wir diese beiden Blickwinkel daher in zwei Blöcken vormittags und nachmittags mit WissenschaftlerInnen der Wissenschafts- und Hochschulforschung diskutieren.

On the morning of 7 December, we will host a PhD workshop to discuss current approaches to research collaborations within science and the application of network analysis to better understand these patterns. We welcome contributions from current research projects in which relational methods and/or theories are applied to contemporary phenomena and issues in higher education research or science studies.
