Auf der gemeinsamen Website der Forschungsprojekte T-PATHS und Q-KNOW werden Termine, Kurznachrichten und Veröffentlichungen aus den beiden Projekten zusammengetragen. Beide Projekte betrachten Hochschul- und Forschungseinrichtungen aus einer relationalen Perspektive. Während Q-KNOW bilaterale Kooperationen fokussiert, analysiert T-PATHS Pfade von Beziehungen.

Sarah-Rebecca Kienast will present the draft of the third paper "How does Research Collaboration link to Organizational Characteristics? The case of German Universities." of her doctoral thesis at the Workshop "HoFoNa-Ideenforum 2021" organized by the GfHf-Jahrestagung. The workshop will be on 16th of September. Some weeks ago she discussed the aim of the paper at the Summer-PhD-Seminar organized by Prof. Dr. Monika Jungbauer-Gans who is scientific director of the German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW). The seminar took place from 30.6.- 2.7.21.

Semantic and Relational Spaces in Science of Science: Deep Learning Models for Article Vectorisation

Our new open-access publication discusses the potential and limits of deep learning methods for gathering insights about scientific research articles. We focus on document-level embeddings based on the semantic and relational aspects of articles, using Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), and explore the different outcomes generated by those techniques.
